We only have three known population in the UK, which is why we are so rare! One is Redgrave fen at the source of the River Waveney on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, another is Pevensey Levels in SE England and the third is the Pant-y-Sais National Nature Reserve in south Wales.
As part of our conservation efforts, scientists are moving us to new areas so that our populations are not so vulnerable.
